Part Two: Why is Etiquette Important

This question came up during a Formal Dining Etiquette Training—and I was genuinely delighted it was asked in that moment.

My immediate response: “You never know when you’ll be seated at a table with President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, college and university presidents, at a gala, in an interview, or within a professional setting.”

Etiquette is more than knowing which fork to use—it is a reflection of self-awareness, discipline, and respect in every social environment you enter. It’s the quiet confidence that speaks before you say a word. It’s the ability to engage in meaningful conversation with poise and intention—an essential life skill.

The truth is, you never know where life will position you. And because of that, preparation is key.

I am passionate about equipping young ladies with the essential tools that build confidence, elevate self-esteem, and prepare them to walk into any room with grace. Etiquette sets the standard. It communicates who you are—without you having to say a word.

At its core, etiquette is about being ready. Ready for the room. Ready for the moment. Ready for the opportunities that align with your purpose.

Remember, preparation is key in all aspects of life!
